Family owned and run by brothers Josu and Gaizka Goikoetxea Larrauri, Hotel Nafarrola was born from their passion and love for the region. Their vision was to create a thoughtful, sustainable, and unrivalled retreat that allows guests to disconnect from their daily lives and surrender to the natural beauty of their surroundings.
The hotel is located just outside the picturesque town of Bermeo in a region also known as the “garden of Bilbao”. Guests at Hotel Nafarrola wake up in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve – a haven of biodiversity boasting enchanting wetlands, rugged cliffs, mystical caves, and windswept beaches, including the famed surf spot of Mundaka. Within easy reach lies the iconic islet of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, while the vibrant cultural tapestry and culinary delights of Bilbao are just a short drive away.

Our standard rooms are unbeatable spaces for relaxation. Its decoration fusing stone with white and wood is characteristic of the Nafarrola Erdikoa farmhouse. Equipped with a coffee maker, minibar and bathtub.

Our superior rooms have a terrace furnished with hammocks, table and chairs to enjoy an idyllic breakfast and dinner. Perfect for sun lovers both in summer and winter, a large room in which everything flows. 2m bed (king size), jacuzzi and space... lots of space.

Deluxe Room
Eguzkia, meaning Sun in Basque, is our sunrise suite, with large glass doors leading out onto a private balcony, perfect for enjoying a romantic breakfast or dinner. Stargaze from the spacious jacuzzi and warm up by the log burning stove on colder nights. One of our largest and most luxurious suites, Eguzkia boasts a king size bed and plenty of space for relaxation and absolute privacy. The room has an armchair that can be converted to an additional bed, if required.

Junior Suite Room
The Junior Suites at the Nafarrola Hotel are the materialization of heaven on Earth. You can see the sky from the bed and the bathtub through its large windows in the ceiling. Spaciousness translated into space: 2-meter bed (king size), wood stove, round hot tub, minibar, coffee maker and a covered terrace. All at the height of a great event.
