Solar energy
The Hotel Nafarrola has a 26KW power installation for generating electricity through photovoltaic panels. We also have a battery system and programming that allows us to optimize energy consumption according to hours and sun exposure.
Mountain spring water
Having our own water spring enables Hotel Nafarrola to offer a more balanced consumption of water, resulting in a greater availability of mains water for the rest of the population. Own resources, balanced consumption.
Kitchen Garden / Orchard

Electric Car Charger
Hotel Nafarrola welcomes drivers of electric vehicles. A 7.6kW charger located in the car park fulfills the function of refueling vehicles in need of recharging in an efficient way, thus avoiding the generation of greenhouse gases. This service could require an extra payment.
Environmental Recovery
The start-up of the Hotel Nafarrola has meant an important work of environmental recovery of the farm on which the hotel is based. From the control of thickets not suitable for animal fodder to the recovery of 3 hectares previously destined for eucalyptus plantation to fodder, these are clear examples of our work.
European Charter for Sustainable Tourism
The Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve is attached to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism as a destination. Said standard requires that the establishments of the region adhere to and comply with the different requirements thereof. The Hotel Nafarrola meets the requirements of said standard, and is currently obtaining the certificate of adherence.
Natural Soaps
The soaps used at Hotel Nafarrola are 100% natural and obtained through sustainable means. Both the aromas and their components have sustainable origins. In addition, unitary containers of the same are avoided since there are dosing systems in each room.
